The concept of «historical memory» in «Post-Soviet historiography»

The paper overviews the results of more than twenty years of discourse of Ukrainian and Russian historians and political scientists to determine the essence of the issue of “politics of history”. It was found that according to the results of the discourse, the position of Ukrainian researchers stood out from the rest of “post-Soviet” ones, due to emerging awareness of their own and neighbor countries’ historical narratives, the division of affirmative, didactic and analytical historiography. It is noted that a modern, thorough definition of the “politics of history” in Ukrainian humanities was defined by G. Kasianov
