Structural-semantic analysis of complex economic terms in modern German journalism and their translation into Ukrainian (based on the material of German-language newspapers)

The article is devoted to the study of structural and semantic features of composite nouns in the German language and the study of methods for their translation into Ukrainian. The research is conducted on the material of complex economic nouns, extracted by continuous sampling method from German-language newspapers. The corpus of factual material consists of 427 units. The structural-semantic features of the multi-component words are presented in the given article, as well as the translation transformations which are used by the translators. This research enabled the identification of the most productive method of translating compound words. It turned out to be calque. The modulation method was used less frequently.
