The Catholic Church in the resistance against terrorism as a global threat to humanity

Abstract

The article discusses the possibilities of the Holy See’s participation in mitigating and eliminating the international terrorist threat. Methods of analysis and synthesis, analytical approach, historical method, forecasting method are used. The ability and capabilities of the Holy See to eliminate the problem of the international terrorist threat are highlighted, as well as possible risks are assessed. It is concluded that in order to address the problem, counter-terrorism policy must combine security measures with a broader social and political context.
