The use of metadata in modern times

Abstract

This article reveals the importance of metadata in the modern world. The methodological basis of the work is an empirical approach. The specifics of this topic are the analysis of information stored in the photo and consideration of online services that allow you to obtain or change metadata. The history of origin is considered and the standards dealing with the study and specification of metadata are indicated. The importance of protecting information stored on electronic and digital devices is revealed. The purpose of this article is that the photos posted on the social network do not always have only an entertaining context. It is important to inform that photos and videos posted on social networks during the war can threaten the safety of life of Ukrainian citizens.
