British foreign policy after Brexit

This article examines the transformation of the foreign policy of the United Kingdom after the BREXIT, including the policy of B. Johnson and the ideas of “Global Britain”, the position of the state in the framework of Russian aggression against Ukraine and with the coming to power of the new Prime Minister L. Truss. In the research process, the following methods and approaches were used: a systematic approach that makes it possible to consider the phenomenon being studied as a whole element, methods of induction and deduction, and dialectical methods of research. The author made conclusions about the partial withdrawal of the new government from the strategy of “Global Britain”, giving priority to improving the image of the state at the regional level, by means of strengthening the security component on the continent within the framework of the Russian-Ukrainian war, which will allow to improve its influence in Europe and at the same time in the world as a “defender of liberal values from authoritarianism”, restore former relations with European states, mitigate the consequences of BREXIT and protect national interests.
