The article describes the state and needs ofI DPs in Vinnytsia. The data are obtained from the results of a sociological survey conducted by V. P. Kipen on the order of the NGO «Innovative Action», in which the author took part. The social portrait of forcibly displaced people in the Vinnytsia community was considered. The main needs of IDPs have been identified, in particular regarding food and financial support, housing and work needs, medical services and child support. Indicators of local residents’ attitudes towards IDPs were noted. The importance of ensuring the informational needs of displaced persons has been established.
