Semantic and stylistic parameters of emotional vocabulary in maria matios novel «almost never the opposite»

The article examines the semantic structure and stylistic features of the functioning of emotional and expressive vocabulary in M. Matios’s novel «Almost Never the Other Way». Emphasis is placed on the relationship between the concepts of «emotionality» and «expressiveness», and their role in speech is determined. Using the material of the novel, the use of certain groups of words with emotional and expressive shades is analyzed and their classification is presented.
