Necessity and scientific validity of maintaining anonymity during employee questionnaires
Keywords:
anonymity, «social desirability» effect, information securityAbstract
The article substantiates the objective necessity of using anonymity when conducting surveys, highlighting the main factors that lead to the distortion of responses in non-anonymous surveys. The authors demonstrate the danger of the “social desirability” effect based on examples from previous studies. The study also analyzes existing data collection platforms in terms of their security and the presence of data encryption. Further research in this area may expand knowledge about the reasons for respondents’ concerns during survey completion and, in the long run, help create a system that ensures the collection of complete and truthful information from respondents.
