Стаття досліджує вплив особистісного фактору на політику США щодо КНР за адміністрацій Д. Трампа та Дж. Байдена. Використано методи порівняльного аналізу підходів президентів, біографічного аналізу їхньої освіти та досвіду, а також кейс-стаді торговельних воєн і санкцій. Результати показують, що транзакційний стиль Трампа сприяв ескалації конфліктів, тоді як дипломатичний підхід Байдена зосереджений на альянсах і співпраці. Особистісні риси лідерів впливають на реалізацію стратегії США у протистоянні з КНР.
