Transformation of NATO's role in the modern system of international security
Abstract
This article examines the latest threats to the modern world. In particular, it highlights the process of recognizing NATO's role as an organization commited to maintain the international security system. The consequences of the transformation are outlined. As a result of this process the Alliance has taken on the responsibility of countering new threats that can hit not only the Euro-Atlantic area but the entire world at any time.
