Potential of city diplomacy in Ukrainian-Poland relations: mechanisms and modalities of implementation

In this study it is figured out capacity to use city diplomacy as one among “soft power” mechanisms for development of partnership interaction between Polish and Ukrainian municipalities and with it for improvement relations between Ukraine and Poland. Interrelationship between them, thought is characterized absence of confrontation, nevertheless aren`t rid the problems, especially due to different interpretation of common historical past. That`s why it was defined range of instruments, which cities can use to create attractiveness and understanding of culture, in particular using art forms in the present stage of relationship between cities. Specificity diplomacy Polish and Ukrainian is researched on the basis of comparative method.
