The article raises the question of the development of transatlantic relations during the presidency of D. Trump. In this regard, the author examines the contradictions between the parties on defense, the Iranian "nuclear agreement", trade relations. Particular attention is paid to mutual understanding of the parties. A brief description of the behavior of the President of the United States in communications with the international community. It concludes on the prospects for the development of relations between the United States of America and the European Union in key areas.
