Place branding policy of the state as a tool for realizing national interests: the example of Japan

This article examines the current role of the country’s place branding policy as a tool for realizing national interests on the example of Japan. The author pays attention to the key components of Japan’s image in the world, reveals the peculiarities of building the country’s image.
