Structural and Semantic Peculiarities of Food and Dishes Nomination in the English Language YouTube Discourse

The article is devoted to the analysis of structural and semantic features of food and dishes nomination. Culinary discourse is a special type of mass communication which characterizes the entire system of the food consumption, consisting of the following stages: food processing, preparation of food for cooking, the process of cooking and eating. The research is based on video files hosted on YouTube video hosting site. Food is one of the most popular topics in creating content in the digital area. The analysis allowed to identify the following structural types of culinary names: derived and non-derived; as well as 4 main semantic groups: food of plant origin, food of animal origin, cereals and flour products, beverages.
